Ingredients

• Two pints boiling water
• 3/4 cup of brown cane sugar
• Lime or lemon juice
• Pint of Ale or Porter
• Pint of Rum
• Half a Pint of Brandy

Instructions

• Dissolve brown cane sugar into a litre of boiling water in a large bowl to dissolve.
• Add the juice of six limes, ale or porter, navy-style rum, and brandy
• Stir and refrigerate until chilled. Serve in half pint glasses.
